También saben que después de un divorcio no es fácil volver a confiar en las personas, recuperar nuestro autoestima, el sentirnos culpables por intentar conocer el amor nuevamente, cuando nuestra cultura nos enseño que primero hay que ser madres ante todo y dejar nuestro lado de mujer en el olvido. En fin, pronto escribiré un artículo sobre cómo superé todos esos tabúes culturales. Pero hoy les quiero compartir felicidad y pura felicidad.

Hace una semana, durante lo que yo pensé, era un viaje sorpresa de cumpleaños organizado por mi novio Dustin, se convirtió en lo más romántico y sorprendente. La historia comenzó así...

Hace varias semanas Dustin me dijo que tenía un viaje sorpresa planeado para mi, que apartara ese fin de semana en mi agenda. No supe hacia donde nos dirigíamos hasta el jueves 26 de Julio por la mañana cuando el realizo el check in con la aerolínea y me llegó la confirmación por correo electrónico. Nos dirigíamos a Reno, Nevada. Al principio pensé "mmmm ninguno de los dos tomamos, y no jugamos en los casinos ¿qué estará tramando este hombre?

Al llegar ese jueves por la noche a Reno, manejamos una hora rumbo a California, y llegamos por la noche a uno de los lugares naturales más hermosos que mis ojos han presenciado LAKE TAHOE. Por su puesto me encantó y feliz pensé que sería un fin de semana de aventuras al aire libre.

El viernes desayunamos temprano en el hotel y nos preparamos para explorar Emerald Bay donde pueden observar el lago desde un mirador al subir las montañas a una altura de 6,319 feet (1,926 m). INCREIBLE. 

Toda la tarde exploramos el área, visitamos museos y disfrutamos de una obra de teatro de Shakespeare al lado del lago.

SÁBADO... el día inesperado

Súper emocionados por seguir haciendo caminatas en las montañas, el sábado desayunamos temprano e hicimos caminata por casi una hora hacia Eagle Lake, esta montaña nos lleva hasta un lago pequeño escondido en la punta. Al llegar ahí yo corrí al agua. Dustin se quedó sentado a la orilla, lo cual me pareció extraño porque el normalmente es el más aventurado. Pero como estaba tan acalorada, simplemente me metí al agua. Minutos después me llamó y me dijo, siéntate aquí (en una raíz de árbol gigante) y me dijo 'quiero hablar contigo'. 

Mi primera reacción fue "¿ahora que hice?,¿todo bien? a lo que el me respondió "Si, no te preocupes, solo que he estado practicando algunas palabras en español (Dustin no habla español) y quiero que me digas si están correctas"...

Me quede un poco confundida pero le dije "esta bien amor, ¿cuáles son esas palabras?. En ese momento Dustin se metió la mano al bolsillo del short, me miro fijamente a los ojos, me sujeto de ambas manos, su rostro se veía impaciente y nervioso, y obviamente yo comencé a ponerme nerviosa también. Segundos después se puso de rodillas y me dijo:

Llevamos casi un año de novios, amo estar contigo y estar con Caleb, amo la idea de formar una familia con ustedes "Te quieres casar conmigo".

Y en ese momento no supe que decir, me mostró el anillo y una lluvia de emociones me inundaron.
