Ana Cruz

Born in Guanajuato Mexico,  Ana Cruz was one of the three children of a single mother who sadly didn’t have much to offer her children. With plenty of self-determination and motivation, Ana  was determined to change her family’s destiny and went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting and journalism from the University of Celaya in Guanajuato in 2004. She started her professional career as chief editor of a news broadcast “A Las Tres” in the largest telecommunicating company in Mexico Televisa. She then moved to host a television program “Zona Alterna” on channel 8 in Celaya Guanajuato.

On top of that, she also received  certification in European Communication Media from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Following her professional dreams and in search for a brighter future for the sake of her family, she migrated to Dallas TX in 2006. After a long and devastating wait, in 2009 she landed a huge break in CBS Radio in the promotion department along with the traffic report in the afternoons. That is how she finally attained a spot in the talk show program of Mega 107.5 as co-host to Edgar “Shoboy” Sotelo in May of 2010.  Mega 107.5 flipped the format to original mexican music in july 2013  'La Grande 107.5' is now waking up Dallas/Fort Worth listeners with 'Shoboy en la Mañana' morning show with Ana Cruz and Shoboy.  In addition, she participates in an entertainment program “Super Latina” as a reporter transmitted by Azteca America in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and by Telemundo in Odessa and other cities.Ana grew up in a home with domestic violence, reason why she has a very special inspiration in working actively in various programs against Domestic Violence within the Fort Worth Police Department and the Mexican Counsel in Dallas. Because she thinks it was a blessing she got from God of been in a radio station and have the tools to motivate women, single moms and people in general to fight for their rights and dreams as she has been doing like a single mom.She has many more goals to achieve in helping the Latin community and will not give up as she continues to represent for the Latin women out there who struggle day to day to overcome obstacles as she has.
