A Night at GAIA Supperclub: Latin-Mediterranean Vibes & Sweet Cocktails in DC
Let me tell you about my latest food adventure: I had the chance to check out GAIA Supperclub, a new dining spot in downtown DC that’s making waves with its Latin and Mediterranean fusion dishes—and yes, it was as good as it sounds.
Located at 1025 Vermont Ave NW, GAIA is way more than just a restaurant. It’s an experience. Think chic interiors, craft cocktails, flavorful dishes, and a vibe that hits somewhere between dinner with friends and a night out.
Let’s Go Over the Food - Yum!
Let’s talk drinks first because… priorities. I tried two of their signature cocktails—“I’ll Take 14 of ‘Em” (and honestly, I could’ve) and “La Casa Blanca.”
The first was bubbly, fruity, and floral with a refreshing mix of sparkling wine, Aperol, soda, raspberry, and orange blossom. Definitely a drink that screams summer rooftop in the best way.
The second one brought tequila, guava, ginger, and lime together in this sweet-but-not-too-sweet balance that was dangerously smooth. I’d go back just for these drinks, honestly.
Appetizer-wise, the Salmon Lollipops were a win. The honey glaze paired beautifully with the tzatziki—a little sweet, a little tangy, and super flavorful. The Crispy Calamari was good too, though a bit more classic. I’d call it a safe pick for anyone not in the mood to experiment.
Now, the star of the night…
Let’s be honest, the Lobster Pasta stole the show. Creamy without being heavy, full of flavor, and yes—actual generous chunks of lobster. I was in pasta heaven. If you’re a seafood lover, this is your moment.
For dessert, I got to try both the Banana Brûlée and the Deconstructed Baklava. The brûlée is great if you prefer your sweets on the subtle side, while the baklava delivers that rich, nutty sweetness I personally live for. I’m a dessert girlie, and GAIA did not disappoint.
Now, Let’s Talk About Ambiance...
The vibe? Think modern, upscale, and super comfortable (and I really appreciate that when the food coma hits). It’s not cheap, so definitely save this spot for a special night out—whether that’s date night, a birthday, or just a “treat yourself” moment.
If you’re into flavorful fusion cuisine, pretty drinks, and stylish spaces, GAIA Supperclub is 100% worth a visit.
